Hi, I am Shahriar Sultan. I am a senior product designer based in Dhaka, working fully remote with product teams in the US, UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. I am applying for senior remote product design roles.

WHAT I DO WELL
My background is in multi-role enterprise platforms, data-dense dashboards, and 0 to 1 products. I have shipped five-role clinical platforms managing 100,000 patients, redesigned feature-dense SaaS products that reduced support tickets by 40%, and led design on mobile apps that hit peer-reviewed clinical outcomes.
I think in systems, work across the full design process from research through handoff, and push back on the brief when the framing is wrong. Pretty screens are the easy part. The hard part is products that work in production, hold up under edge cases, and do not generate support tickets.
I am not a strategist or a brand designer. I am a senior IC who works alongside PMs and engineers and produces interfaces that actually ship.
HOW I WORK
I work directly with PMs and engineers, run my own research, and manage junior designers when the team needs it. My tools are Figma, ClickUp, Slack, and Notion. I document decisions, write specs engineering can actually build from, and stay involved through QA.
Most design problems are framing problems wearing a costume. Before pixels, I ask whether the problem is framed correctly, what the second-order effects of the proposed solution are, and what success actually looks like. That conversation usually surfaces the real brief.
Every component, flow, or system I deliver comes with the reasoning attached. Engineers know why a dropdown beat a modal. The next designer can pick up where I left off without a séance.
I work in production-adjacent fidelity from week one and treat handoff as the actual deliverable. I stay in the loop through implementation and QA so the product that ships matches the product that was designed.
If something is going to take three weeks, I say so in week one. If a feature is going to make the product worse, I push back before I execute it. You are paying for senior judgment, not senior compliance.

WHAT I AM GOOD AT
Lists of tools tell you nothing, so here is what I bring to a product team:
Most dashboard mockups quietly assume 8 rows and 4 columns. Mine assume 50,000 rows and someone on a critical Zoom call.
Fintech payment flows, healthcare workflows, KYC, clinical interfaces. HIPAA, PCI, FDA-adjacent. Calm, accessible, defensible.
Onboarding that does not drop off, payment flows that do not break, offline states that actually work. iOS and Android, designed for real devices in real hands.
Token architecture, component APIs, documentation that survives the designer leaving.
This is the senior part. Anyone can move boxes around. The job is knowing which box, why, and what it costs you.
PMs, engineers, clinicians, founders. Plain language, no jargon ego, decisions documented in Notion.
Tools: Figma, ClickUp, Slack, Notion, Loom, Framer, Webflow, Cursor. Accessibility (WCAG AA), prototyping, design tokens. Table stakes, not the reason to hire me.
OUTSIDE THE WORK
I teach UI/UX at UIMC, partly because explaining a thing is the fastest way to find out whether you understand it. I mentor designers across South Asia informally, mostly over coffee and overlong Loom videos. And I write occasional notes on design and product thinking.
