Problem I faced
FePay raised millions in 2023. Engineers were in place. There was no product. Bank connections were broken. Send confused users. Splitting a bill took six taps. Recurring payments lived in separate apps. A year of building. Nothing shipped.
Information architecture
One gateway with Home, Send, Scan, Request, and More routed through a single transaction engine.

Solution I proposed
One gateway for every Danish payment type, from peer-to-peer to recurring subscriptions, with Home, Send, Scan, Request, and More all routed through a single transaction engine. Onboarding was designed around MitID instead of forms, so identity comes first and everything after it is one decision per screen. Send, split, and recurring flows share the same confirmation anatomy, which is why none of them needed a manual.

What changed
The platform went live and is processing payments. Onboarding takes ninety seconds end to end. Drop-off through MitID held under eight percent, and the split-bill payment rate hit ninety-four percent in beta.
Onboarding designed around MitID, not forms.
Phone verification, Face ID, and secure bank connection, all completed in under 90 seconds.

Every payment type as one gateway.
A unified payment experience where every action from sending money to split bills and recurring payments feels familiar.

Split bills without group-chat noise.
Each person receives a personalized payment request, making bill splitting quick and effortless.

Recurring payments as a dashboard, not a list.
Subscriptions stay organized with clear statuses, upcoming payments, and all the details in one place.

One product, a complete payment journey.
From onboarding and everyday payments to subscriptions and account management, every experience is designed to feel seamless and connected.
